Hotel Shopping Round 2!

Off we go to Prince Hotel!

Greeted by a charming lady Ms. Elisha. Showed us around the hotel and there was a 40 table set up. No traditional chandeliers with dangly bits but rather, big chunky  light coverings which are gold in colour for a different feel. Promised to us that all servers were locally employed and that she will be present at every function just in case some shit goes wrong. Managed to get a good deal and plus if we decided on this hotel we would get to be in the running to win ''our own wedding back''. As in the full amount spent on the wedding at that hotel.
Prince Hotel has :

  • Ample parking space at its carpark
  • Tai Zee Hin restaurant caters as the banquet not a hotel kitchen
  • Big enough for 40 - 45 tables with carpetted walkway
  • Local employees (not being racist but thru experience I need this)
  • Right smack in the city so that overseas guest can stay around there
  • Tried the food in Tai Zee Hin and its not too bad
  • Place looks well kept and no funky smell!
  • No holding room, but a big suite for the night.
Next stop: Glenmarie Holiday Inn

What a joke, the banquet / planner got the wrong couple and we ended up waiting at the foyer while she attended to another couple who walked in. Called her up when I waited for like a good 15-20minutes to see her walking just opposite me at the coffee lounge. Sat us down and made apologies but that's fine. The place was pretty small and I am doubtful it can cater for our entourage ahah. Max is probably 30-35 table.

This hotel has:
  • Open carpark which is FREE! But if it rains...sorry!
  • A really nice resort ambience plus there's a golf course behind.
  • A very private setting where the function room is.
  • Got to see a 30 table set up. Looks a bit tight.
  • Value for money
  • A big holding room
  • Clean
  • The do awesome pretty garden weddings but maximum of 200 pax...
  • Far away from KL traffic but you're heading towards pre-Subang jam
  • Good Food
