American Staffordshire or American Pitbull?

When we got the dog, the breeder said it was an American Pitbull Showline. I don't really know what that means cause he looks nothing like what a supposedly Showline breed looks like.

My dog has small paws compared to the other 'pitbull dogs', he is way smaller in size even at 3 years old,  not even stocky but rather slim with a fat stomach. Some days he looks like a fat man with a beer belly and skinny legs.

I have some doubt that my dog is of very mixed breed as his temperament and his features don't seem like a pitbull. He stares at cats and when the cat runs off, he whines as if the pussy didn't wanna be his friend. But if a stranger stands at the front of the gate, he just stares with his sleepy eyes from afar and wouldn't even move at times.

Happily enjoying his Xmas treat - Pig ears

After a 3km run in humid weather...he just went *plonk* onto the floor and I thought he was dead.

Everyday questions

Since it's so random, I will ask a question everyday and I am quite sure no one will answer me. But I just need to document this.

3rd July 2012: Do dogs get hemorrhoids or piles? My dog had a soft serve poop 4x during his walk and I could see bits off his asshole coming out. Do I need to get him checked? Quite worried.

Dog ticks in the Asshole

By the request of my loving husband I shall scream,

''TODAY IS THE DAY I FREAKING SHOVED MY FINGERS AND NAILS UP MY DOG'S ASSHOLE AND DUG, PINCH, SCRUB, RUB, TICKLE, POKES,BRUSHED AT IT FOR A GOOD 20 MINUTES!!!!!!''

It's the rainy season again. The dog still needs to poop and he loves doing it on the grass..its an upgrade since it used to like doing it in the middle of the road even when a car is approaching towards him. Picking up all that ticks, fleas, bugs, eggs, grass, stones, rocks, dirt...half eaten stray cat food and sometimes other dog's shit or cat shit.

Got him a scrub down yesterday and managed to get about 50 ticks or so. No photos cause its all squashed and black and disturbing.

Today, thought we had ridden him of quite a mess...but NO! The ticks do not seem to be afraid to show themselves...with the sunlight reflecting off their shiny bodies, boy did we have a tick of a time. Where on earth do they hide. Yesterday the same spot was cleared off, today there a few more building homes and digging their nasty bug teeth into Scooby's skin. Red, bloody, inflamed and must be bloody itchy.

We started off picking on the white part's of his body, his ears and his under side. FML, I moved his tail and I almost fainted. There's a party going on the rim of his asshole. Around it, half way in it and just on it. Fuck!!! We tried using tissue and the tweezers but its just not precise enough and it hurts him even more when he jerks...Anyone or thing would react to that kinda shit.

We had a field day with the ticks and its 5 generations. Made us itchy and scratchy as hell after that. Soaked the dog in Dettol and multiple washes or tick shampoo. I squirt so much dettol up his A-hole I feel that I have seriously violated it and he stares at me differently and even walks funny now.

The weirdest thing was, my husband holding the dog, and I was scrubbing his A-hole and privates with my eyes closed. Shit things human have to do for some animal companionship. We wanted to take some photos but there's just too much chemicals going on.

Photos are definitely blurred in quality cause this were random shots that made us go ZOMFG!!!!! What's that in his ass?!!?!?!??!?!?!?!
Anyway, it had to be a tag team of one man on one side and somehow I got the backside...Urgh! Gotta use them tweezers and jabbed his ass a couple of times to take the damn things out. When its wet, it's kinda hard to actually use your fingers to grab hold of a tick. So basically imagine my fingers going all around the damn asshole trying to dig for gold. So gonna shave off all my nails beyond flesh. Sam had the decency to ask me to go for Banana leaf rice and eat with my bare hands...Can't even imagine touching my face right now.

This was sorta after his unimaginable ordeal. Tearing....Ripped my heart but I did him good for a few days till the next family set house there.

My hand hurts from all those chemicals and water. I hope he feels better until we get him to the vet for a jab and a new flea collar. (He ate the rest, amazing he is still alive, self-deworming) Hahaha! After about a hundred ticks, we called it a day... at least I wish to believe so. The dog is licking and scratching from all the wounds, sigh poor thing. I rubbed some alcohol hand sanitizers up his asshole just in case some other kinda shit gets there.

Sam still wouldn't stop looking for Ibiza for the past 5 hours, let him rest!!!

I love my little BAT!

Pitties my babies

Pitbulls were not born to kill and maul humans, they were trained to do so!
Meet Scooby and Rocky!
Pretty confused which is the PitBully and which one is mongrel ahhaha.
Whatever dog's people keep, just don't act smart and try to cross territories without the consent of the owner. Therefore I believe that if a robber gets mauled by a dog or a dumb ass itchy backside nut case who decides to stick his hand thru your gate, serve him right! Keep your hands in your pocket and keep walking.

The pussy-cat dog

They both and 2 other lap dogs live in harmony!

8 months of living with my puppy Scooby

If you are thinking of getting a Pit Bull please make sure you are ready for the following:

1. Skin problems that can cost a bomb to cure.
2. Means expensive organic/sensitive doggy shampoo.
3. Despite its short fur, fleas and thicks are still everywhere. My dog is generally black and its hard to spot unless
you go digging into his fur through every inch of skin he has.
4. This dog eats alot...like 3 full meals and asks for more with his whiny antics.
5. When still a puppy they love to cuddle to sleep....awww so cute!
6. Sits down on hind legs alot like a fat old man.
7. Has a pitiful face but a jaw biting power of 1.5 tonnes (as said by the vet)
8. Highly hyper active.
9. Sensitive stomach & sensitive skin equals special salmon & lamb food type which is premiumly priced.
10. As all puppies do...they chew everything.
11. Mine literally chewed and ate the following:

  • copper wires
  • thongs made of plastic and rubber
  • rubber water hose
  • car reverse sensors
  • PVC pipes
  • umbrella cloth
  • plants
  • cotton buds
  • rattan chair
  • wooden handle
  • wooden basket
  • cloth
  • strings
  • car mudguards
  • plastic bottles
  • cardboxes
  • bags
  • sofas
  • his own plastic food bowl
  • several leashes made out of high quality rock climbing ropes and parachute.
  • any sort of edible food
  • and heaps of other normal stuff dogs attack.
The above has cost us more than 1000s of dollars. He has been to the vet at least 3-4 times for skin problems and twice for diarrhoea that we have no idea how it happened. This is not including all those normal visits to the vet for shots and check ups.

You need to shower it twice to thrice a week cause he loves dirt. Short fur but still big paws...Thicks love to breed in between the paws. Painful i think.

Loves to jump and yes it is able to jump very high. Gallops and not run. Attention seeking. Whines more than he barks. Eats wayyyyyyyy toooooo much.

Scratched the whole left side of my car door panels just cause he was getting to a bird on the roof of the car.
Scratched 2 car bonnets cause of stray cats.
Shits a hell load and his farts are silent killers.

He started humping at the age of 3 months and tried to rape my shihtzu and pomeranian. To failure in trial and error he has gone on to try to hump my face, my arm, my leg and my back. He loves to bite my hair. Hates my face when my hair is down and flying when the wind blows. Loves to jump under my skirt.

Look at his pathetic sad face. Don't be fooled.

To kill it off, he came on my dad's arm and now what do we do? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

But, I still love you Scooby =P

Scooby the Pitbull @ 5 months

3 months ago, we bought this Pitbull puppy from a breeder who has approximately 100 over Pitbulls in his ''dog farm'. At least it is clean and the dogs are not caged up like chickens in an egg farm. But I realised that most of the Pitbulls were suffering from some sort of skin problem. Looks painful but no flesh wound at sight. Patches of fur missing and chicken pox like skin on the underside of the body.

I saw the puppy I wanted and he had a crooked tail but its bent in a really cute way where his ass now looks squarish when his tail is down. First month, we spend weekends taking him to the vet to him immunised and checked on for his skin condition. The vet advices that the breed has a lot of skin related problems are their immunity against skin diseases are very low. (Sigh!) Poor puppy has chicken pox like scabs on the half end towards its hind legs. Gave him medication and changed its diet to Salmon + Rice doggie food. He got better.

However in the second month, he started having diarrhea a few times a day. Figured it could be the food or the treats that we bought so we stopped giving it to see if it'll stop. 4 days later, still the same so we decided to take him in to the vet again. The vet doesn't have a clue what happened but gave it drips and it was better. On the way out of the clinic, he squirted all over the floor and it seriously looked like 'shark's fin' broth.

Gave it the meds and 2 days later it was shitting rocks again!

Now after 3 months, we have an insane dog in the house that shits bricks everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone is interested in getting a pitbull puppy/dog in Kuala Lumpur, do drop a message and I shall advice where to go as apparently I can't get a license for this dog and was not told by the breeder nor the VET! Good job. Just have to train it not to 'hate' strangers.
